Black Narcissus 0.3, 2020

An Interactive New Media Installation by Talia Janover

Virtual identities, social network filters and the loss of control over our own data all play a part in ‘Black Narcissus′. It is an ongoing research project dealing with our digital Identity and its relationship with the physical. Connecting to the project’s app the visitors are invited to explore the encounter, merger and disruption of their virtual and physical identity. They can play with their live photographed face, filtered and projected into the gallery space along with photos and data taken and projected from their Facebook profile.

The project has an online and offline mode and can be scaled to a specific space.

This Project was done as a final project for The Master’s program in Industrial Design, Bezalel Academy for Arts and Design, Jerusalem and was mentored by Tal Erez.
