Talia Janover [1981, Israel] lives and works in Jaffa.
Talia Janover is a contemporary new media artist, specializing in designing interactive environments.
Janover explores the connection between identity, perception and surrounding, using light and shadow, live photography, projection mapping and incorporating apps. Translating situations from the digital realm into the physical and from one medium to another creates a new perspective on technology and on the people who use it.
Since finishing her B.Arch.Ed in Architecture at WIZO Haifa Academy of Design in 2010 she has designed limited edition lighting objects, furniture, curated and designed exhibitions, produced content for exhibitions and social media, created workshops, consulted designers and organizations towards exhibitions and workshops and taught design in the academy. In the last few years and also during her Master’s degree in industrial design at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, Jerusalem, her main focus has been creating interactive spaces that invite visitors to explore the encounter, merger and disruption of their virtual and physical identity.
Janover’s works have been presented at international events such as the London design Festival, State of design Berlin, Taipei and at Museums and galleries in Tel Aviv, Holon and Jerusalem.
